Working with our highly experienced HSE teachers, students will both improve their knowledge of the subject area(s) they wish to be tested in whilst also gaining useful insight. tips and advice about the actual exam.

In view of nature of this test students are required to have a minimum Level 3 in English.

Class instruction is free, but students must purchase the course materials (we can provide the necessary details).

For this semester all classes will be online using Zoom.

The class is for intermediate above and advanced learners. This class will explore intercultural dating and marriage, intercultural exchange in art and architecture, and the fascinating connection between cultural differences and the human brain. We will use articles, literature, and video clips from popular movies/YouTube as illustrations. Through this class, students will not only gain a greater appreciation for the differences between their cultures, but perhaps even more importantly, how they might combine some of the best aspects of their newly-acquired American culture with their native cultures.

Please note that this is a class for YWCA ESL students, which means you must be enrolled in one or more fall 2024 ESL courses to be eligible for this FREE class.

Native English speakers have a distinctive rhythm due to a combination of pauses and reductions; This skill is very important for fluency. In this course you will learn how to speak English with confidence.

Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, the last class will be extended to 12/27.

Private language lessons are by Director Approval Only. Please contact ESL office for further information: 609-865-7244. Once you are authorized, enroll in the First-Time Private Lesson (6) and work directly with ESL to schedule meetings. Subsequent lessons can enrolled in as needed.
